Kelsey earned her Bachelor of Science from Northwest Nazarene University where she majored in Psychology. Kelsey then received her Master of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Whitworth University. Kelsey’s training and education was focused on children and adolescents, as well as couple and family counseling. Kelsey completed part of her internship with Spokane Public Schools, working with Elementary through High School populations as well as a variety of diagnosis such as anxiety, depression, and other behavioral issues. Kelsey also completed part of her internship through Whitworth’s Marriage and Family Therapy Clinic where she gained experience with individuals, couples, and families. Kelsey’s passion is working with teenagers and young adults to assist them in navigating their paths into adulthood. Kelsey also enjoys working with couples to help them foster healthy connections in relationship.
Kelsey has participated in externships for Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy and Gottman Therapy used for supporting couples. Kelsey has completed Level 3 of Lifespan Integration Therapy and will continue her education with Lifespan Integration to become a certified Lifespan Integration Therapist. Kelsey uses an integrated approach to counseling through Lifespan Integration, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Person Centered therapy, Narrative Therapy, Child Centered Therapy and Family Systems Therapy.
Sometimes life offers experiences which are difficult to walk through and often these times feel quite lonely or confusing. Whether it be feelings of sadness, anxiety, fear, anger, exhaustion, or loneliness; Kelsey would like to join you on this walk we call life to help you navigate your path. She believes in relationships with the people we are surrounded by on a daily basis and will strive to assist you in creating relationships that support you on your daily life walk.
When Kelsey isn’t working, she enjoys crafting, reading, summer water sports and spending time with her family.
